How Ciela bills you.
Three separate usage buckets, each tied to a different real cost: Apollo lead lookups, Vapi voice minutes, and Anthropic AI tokens. Your monthly subscription includes a starting allowance for each bucket. When you need more, you top up the specific bucket that's running low — they don't trade off against each other.
The three buckets at a glance
- Lead credits
- Apollo lookups · monthly reset · 1,000 / 10,000 / 50,000 by tier
- Vapi minutes
- Theo demo voice calls · monthly bundle · 200 / 600 / 1,500 by tier
- AI cents
- Ciela chat tokens · daily cap · top up in dollars
1. Lead credits
What it pays for: every prospect you import from Apollo through Ciela's lead-sourcing tools costs real money to Apollo. Each successful lookup deducts one credit from your balance. We pay Apollo, you pay us a flat allowance per month with no per-lead surprises.
Pro: 1,000 credits / mo
Studio: 10,000 credits / mo
Agency: 50,000 credits / mo
When it resets: first day of your billing month, balance refills to your tier's allowance. Unused credits don't roll over.
When you run out: the lead sourcing tool refuses to launch a new batch until next reset or until you upgrade. No overage billing on lead credits — they're atomic, you spend the credit before the lookup, so there's nothing to reconcile after.
2. Vapi minutes
What it pays for: every minute a prospect spends talking to a Theo demo through the web call widget. Vapi bills us for the underlying voice infrastructure (Twilio for transport, ElevenLabs for synthesis, the LLM that powers the conversation). We pass that through as a monthly minute bundle.
Pro: 200 Vapi minutes / mo
Studio: 600 Vapi minutes / mo
Agency: 1,500 Vapi minutes / mo
When it resets: monthly with your billing cycle, same as lead credits.
Topup packs: when the bundle runs low you can buy a top-up pack from Settings → AI & Usage. Top-up minutes drain BEFORE overage so you only hit overage if both your bundle and your top-up are empty.
Overage: calls past your bundle plus topup bill at $0.20 / min, hard-capped at $50 / day. The cap is a safety net so a runaway demo pool can never surprise you with a quadruple-digit bill overnight.
3. AI cents
What it pays for: every Ciela chat turn calls Anthropic's Claude. Tokens cost money, your messages and the responses both count. We bill in cents so you can see the cost line up with what Anthropic actually charges us (no inflated multiplier).
Daily cap: the platform Sonnet cap resets every 24 hours. Stay under the cap, chat is free as part of your subscription. Your effective allowance grows with your tier.
Topup in dollars: when you hit the daily cap you can buy a credit pack from Settings → AI & Usage. Packs come in $5, $20 ($22 with bonus), and $50 ($60 with bonus) sizes. Credits drain after the daily cap is spent and never expire.
Bring your own key: if you'd rather pay Anthropic directly, paste your own API key in the same Settings tab. Ciela uses your key, you see your spend in Anthropic's console, and we bill you nothing for AI on top of the subscription.
Where to see your usage
Settings → AI & Usage shows live balances and the topup CTAs for all three buckets. The minute meter on the same page tracks Vapi consumption against your monthly bundle plus any top-up credits.
Your Stripe billing history (invoices, receipts, payment method) lives at Settings → Billing. Subscription changes (upgrade, downgrade, cancel) happen there.
